a month agoNot sure how this place even operates. Had an order in and confirmed and they stated it would arrive within 10 days. Over a month later I called them and they cancelled it without even telling me and stated my provider has referred me off to another company to get my supplies (they never did). This place is getting reported to the BBB. They have to shape up or go out of business. Look at the other poor reviews! Don’t use them.

8 months agoProvidence Home Medical Equipment is not a very good place to get Cpap equipment from, & they are located on 64TH & Halsey Street. PROVIDENCE ST. VINCENT'S PAVILION BUILDING IS A BETTER PLACE TO GET CPAP EQUIPMENT FROM BECAUSE THEY HAVE A LOT MORE SUPPLIES TO CHOOSE FROM, LIKE MASKS, NOSE PLUGS, ETC., their equipment DOESN'T SOUND LIKE A HELICOPTER IS FLYING AROUND MY HEAD. However, though I do have mild sleep apnea, I cannot use my TRADITIONAL Cpap machine. It spits & sputters water up my nose, I end up choking on the water, & I can't sleep like that. I need the newer system (Inspire), that doesn't require hoses & masks and all the "garbage" that comes with the traditional style of Cpap machines & equipment, only MY PROVIDENCE MEDICAL INSURANCE WON'T COVER IT FOR SOME REASON. My life is miserable with my Cpap machine, plus running the machine makes my bedroom temperature increase by about 5-10 degrees! This makes it really, really impossible to sleep at night because I cannot tolerate temperatures for sleeping above 65° & using my A/C is overwhelmed by the heat from my Cpap machine. I JUST DON'T USE IT ANYMORE. So, I deal with a lot of memory problems, because my brain is deprived of oxygen every night and it causes me really bad short-term memory loss. It's miserable. I guess since my Cpap doctor left Providence, there's nobody else I can see, & it seems like Providence doesn't even care anymore. If they don't care anymore, how can THEY expect me to care?

a year agoI have changed the review from 1 to 5 stars. Last 12 months everything has been delivered on time, packed properly and items were as expected. In another 12 months I will will also remove the previous experience text assuming they keep up the good work. Just to test their current feedback acceptance I called and Katie manager accepted the call and was nice and professional. Good job! They mess up orders and take no responsibility. Lack knowledge about their products. Questions about new equipment resulted in my realization that my basic review of information resulted in more knowledge about the machine than they had. They did not even know it had bluetooth, so ability to answer questions about what information is available and how was nonexistent. They text me time to order new supplies only to say I do not yet qualify. Ordered again they said everything is on backorder but everything is available from other places. Providence only pays for item from their own store at their own prices and on their own terms. Expect errors, high costs and late orders. They count shipping date not order date to how often you get supplies. Since they are often in error or backordered when others are not, their self imposed timelines are rarely respected. Same thing today. April 2023 update- their methods seem to assure you will always pay new deductible at 3 orders not 4. Order made last week, has not yet shipped out and labeled as backorder all products which did not make sense. After calling and prodding they checked again and it simply not yet done. So that is a week which delayed timeline again and required another call and prod to do their work.Expect to waste your time assuring they complete you order. See photo of how the box looked. They tried to modify a box but did not tape their cuts. Medical items hanging out of box and exposed to everything that box was in shipping. I asked for a call back or email from Levy, manager so he can see photos but nothing for a week.

11 months agowhen re-ordering some supplies, the person taking the order said they didn't have access to any prices, so was unable to tell me what they were going to charge. Since this comes out of my deductible first, that's an important number! How can they recommend, order and purchase items for me, but not know any of the prices? After ordering, I was sent a bill for $400 when I could have saved money ordering almost anywhere else

11 months agoHorrible experience multiple times over. They lost my papers for cpap therapy. I was deemed urgent, yet it took months to receive my equipment. I called them tend of times and multiple departments literally lied about the status of my case, saying my insursnce wasnt covering the supplies. It turned out the head of the respiratory department had lost my paperwork. They were simply cover their butts and lying. It gets worse. I was billed for a year and a half for supplies when suddenly i realized my supplementla insurance qmb covers the 20% coinsurance. They were literally committing a federal crime by doing so. I have a current bill and have been trying to explain to rhem why i wont pay it and they just keep giving me the run around. Tellijg me to call medicare, who confirmed its a federal crime, who then say to call providence (my insurance), who then say contact DHS, who then say contact medicare. Theyre all pointing fingers and this all would have been avoided if home medical had billed it correctly in the first place!
