4 years agoI first became acquainted with Mr Shadden in the early 1990s when I was an employee of a real estate company. Mr Shadden represented one of our tenants who sued the company. My employer lost the case, but through interacting with Mr Shadden, I gained an attorney with exceptional knowledge of the law, personal concern for his clients, and high ethical standards. Mr Shadden has served me well for over 20 years on a variety of personal and professional legal issues. He is fair, honest, and is no-nonsense in his approach. If you want a lawyer who will give his best and tell it to you straight ... I recommend you talk to Mr John Shadden!

4 years agoWashington County, I just heard from another attorney, is one of the most stringent for guardianship, which is good for protection but can make it hard to find attorneys willing to work there. It's a seller's market. This wasn't easy. Revolving staff answering the phone that couldn't answer questions, often being the person not there. He wrote long scolding letter we probably paid for when I could show but my husband couldn't find time for a face to face appointment -- so I simply wrote back and politely suggested a phone call. The level of tension just didn't feel necessary for the tasks. For a guardian case that wasn't challenged, we were charged the top of his estimate. Got the job done but made a stressful circumstance even more unpleasant.

3 years agoMy father was charged over $2500 to make a Last Will and Testament but needed to make changes. He has tried contacting the office over 5+ times in the last few months but received no response back. If you have a urgent matter I would suggest choosing a different law practice.

5 years agoMy dad died. Took me forever to find out who did my dad's will. I get a call back from a nice receptionist n said he'd call me back. No call. So next day, I followed up. John calls me shortly after with a really bad attitude. Basically says there's very little he can tell me. Did not want to answer or explain anything to me. But did share some info, but rudely. Then said find a lawyer n good luck. I would not want to do business with him. Very unprofessional. Stear clear from this cranky old so n so.
