7 months agoHonor Is not Dead I originally found Litowich Law through a Google search about third-party visitation rights. Their website immediately stood out because of the depth and quality of their articles and resources on ORS 109.119 (Rights of a person who establishes emotional ties creating a child-parent relationship or an ongoing personal relationship). That level of thoughtful, detailed information says a lot about who they are as a firm and what they truly understand. Because of that, I scheduled an intake with Zachary Gottlieb as soon as possible. Before we were able to meet, my situation changed and I canceled the appointment. Almost a year later, Zachary unexpectedly became counsel for my ex during our divorce. He handled that matter professionally and ethically. After the divorce, I decided to pursue third-party visitation rights for my stepdaughters through a separate action. On the very day I filed that case in Oregon, Zachary withdrew as counsel for my ex, and she obtained new representation. Nearly eleven months later, the situation created by my ex’s new counsel has resulted in widespread procedural chaos and has damaged the integrity of the Oregon family law system, the Wyoming legal system, and even the federal system. It has caused enormous harm to all parties involved—most importantly, to the children—and has completely abandoned the best-interest-of-the-children standard. Based on everything I have observed, Zachary was likely asked to participate in an extreme legal strategy, and his response was to put his foot down and explain why it was not sound, not ethical, and not right. My ex then chose to find someone else who would proceed exactly as she and her family wanted, without question. If you are reading this, remember: you are not hiring a lawyer to simply do whatever you want. You are hiring a lawyer to do their job—and to do it with integrity, professionalism, and honor. You may not always like the advice you receive, but often the hardest advice is the most important advice. If you want a lawyer with real integrity, who will fight for you the right way, I strongly recommend Litowich Law and Zachary Gottlieb. He is someone who does the right thing at the right time, even when it comes at personal or professional cost. He will not sell his values. He will guide you through the storm with skill, steadiness, and professionalism. All you have to do is trust him. He will work tirelessly to get you the best outcome possible.
