a month agoI have not previously gone to Target stores much, but recently, my wife and I are trying to cut down on Amazon purchases so I visited the Target at Hayden Island to buy items I needed. I was very pleasantly surprised. Well organized and clean store with a very good selection of products. Perhaps most importantly was that I found the employees to be extremely friendly and helpful (for example, I needed directions on where to go for a couple of items and they were very helpful). I was also very impressed with the number of employees on the floor; it made it easier to find someone to ask questions. This is VERY important to me and very rare these days as companies cut back on employees. I commented to an employee about the friendliness and number of employees, and she said that the manager of the store really values customer service. Kudos to this manager and to Target. Move over Amazon, my wife and I are going to start shopping much more at the Hayden Island Target.

a month agoThis Target location was very good. We went in there quickly to pick up snacks. We were amazed at how clean, big, bright and well stocked the store was. It was almost closing time and there were a couple of armed security guards at the entrance of the store. They were very helpful and told us where the grocery aisle were. The produce was fresh and well priced. The two packaged salads we bought were delicious and fresh with enough toppings and dressing. We were quite impressed with the store and will be returning shortly to check out other items of interest.

2 months agoJust had the weirdest petty experience ive had, I go to the Starbucks (they are target employees) and i ordered a cold coffee and asked if they could put it in a reusable cup, That I was purchasing from them That day. The young lady said, no I cannot.That's cross contamination. I have a food handler's card.I don't think she knows what that word means.I think she just uses it wherever she thinks it gives her authority. But it's not cross contamination unless it's stored down there with raw meat or something, or if i'm giving them a cup, I would understand but I didn't have an issue.I said, okay, I'll pour it in there.Myself and she said, it's just dusty down there, and I said, no problem.Can you just rinse the cup out for me. Let's be clear.This is a cup I have not yet touched that they have not given me yet.That I am purchasing from them. And because she just wanted to win and I was trying to politely solve a problem cause. I knew for a fact that was not a food handling issue with cross-contamination. She just said, no, that's also against policy.I can't rinse the cup out for you. Petty people with no oversight that just make up rules or what annoy this whole world.And slow everything down.I don't know what her personal vendetta is with people, but you can't just be correct.And then when someone corrects you, you then get irritated.And decide to be more of a petty employee. This is why the shopping center's dying.This is why the pacific northwest is full of people just like this. Nothing's going to happen. I just need someone to read this at the end of the day at most.Some target person will respond and say we strive to do our best, and then tomorrow will come.

4 months agoBecause of the armed security officer(s) at the entrance & in the store I always feel a bit uncomfortable at this store! Since nowadays you have no idea what the less than stellar humans are going to try & pull! Be aware of your surroundings, lock your car doors! People are getting more and more desperate & goodness knows what they'll try to do next to survive! The cost of retail theft is through the roof look what it's done to the prices of everything and all these people they're not even going after them so the stores are just eating the losses and passing it on to the paying customer at the end of the day. BE SAFE OUT THERE!!

3 weeks agogrocery selection is terrible and limited, everything is over priced and borderline rotting. products are disorganized in the whole store. after spending $70 i was told they have no more bags??? then after i paid they told me i could purchase the one tote they have in the building lol. weird. not coming back to this location cuz things are too expensive to not even receive something to carry my stuff out after. wack.
