10 years agoI started my insurance agency in 1989 without understanding the tax requirements for a self employed individual. I was referred to the Kershaws, and they helped me structure my business to not only comply with regulations, but to also take advantage of strategies to reduce my tax liability. I am working primarily with Kevin. He is always available to answer my questions, is fast in responses, and great at preparing my taxes. Last year he created a spreadsheet to help me accurately forecast my cash flow once I retire. Everyone I have referred to Kershaw and Associates has been impressed by their service. 10 years agoMy father recommended Alan Kershaw to me -- what? Over 15 years ago? Back when I first went into business for myself as a solo freelance professional. Ever since, I have increasingly valued the value of Kershaw & Assoc. in helping me to keep my business running. I'm not the most organized guy around, and I'm frankly horrible about tracking paperwork and financial stuff. Alan and his team have always shown me the highest levels of patience and courtesy. Like any good tax team, they're not cheap, but the time they save me -- never mind the benefits that come with having someone expertly versed in tax laws and opportunities helping to prepare my information -- amounts to far more every year than I could ever hope to achieve by doing it myself or going to some mass produced filing outfit. Moreover, I count Alan and his crew as friends, and they have provided me with excellent advice over the years at key moments of difficulty or transition in my career. To be fair, I have never used another tax service, but my experience with them has been so overwhelmingly positive that I hope I never will.

10 years agoI really appreciate the hand-holding, all-encompassing service from all the people at Kershaw & Associates. They not only are very knowledgeable and up-to-date on all tax codes, but they are really caring people, too. When we first had our taxes done by Kershaw, they notified me that they thought they found extra returns possible from the PREVIOUS year. After they worked on the past year, my family received an adjusted return of $2000, the year I did the returns myself using one of the most popular internet software companie's products. I can't tell you how happy I am to have found Kershaw and Associates, and we are on a first name basis with most everyone in the office. We can highly recommend Kershaw, and, no, we are not related in any way, except friendship.

10 years agoJane, Alan, and the entire staff have been taking care of my needs for 12 years. They always do a great job, are very detail oriented, and they give me suggestions and advice along the way so I can do better for yourself. My sister told me about them and she heard about them from someone else. Since then, I have recommended them to several people and even had them take care of my Mom when we moved her to the Pacific Northwest in 2008. Preparing her estate taxes was a real challenge. Both Alan and Jane worked very hard to get everything ready for filing on time. I love these people and I wouldn't go anywhere else.

10 years agoI have been using Kershaw and Associates for many years. They have always been very helpful, very nice and kind, and best of all, I think, they have saved me money in the long run. I am very suspicious when it comes to money, but I feel I can trust their advice and their integrity, which is a very relaxing feeling! They also seem to be up to date on all the new IRS twists as they come along, and have been helpful in giving me "pre-advice" when I have had questions about which path to take. They have also taken the time to explain 'why' or how a certain approach is better or different than another. I hate dealing with records, but they have patiently trained me to keep track of things and taught me the type of information that is most helpful and efficient.
