2 months agoOverpriced, Ineffective, Incompetent Defense - Don't Be Fooled By Positive Reviews We paid Angus Lee a substantial retainer of $25,000 to defend a matter in Clark County, and in our opinion, the quality of representation was entirely unacceptable. A public defender likely would have achieved the exact same or better results for a fraction of the stress and zero financial drain. Consumers should be fully aware of this attorney's professional background before hiring him. He is a former prosecutor, and from our perspective, his defense style strongly reflects that history. Instead of providing the aggressive, independent defense we expected for a premium fee, it felt as though his approach aligned entirely too closely with the prosecution's agenda, resulting in a severe lack of meaningful advocacy for his client. Furthermore, as part of this $25,000 representation, we were referred out to a third-party psychologist in his 70s for what was supposed to be a standard evaluation. Instead, this turned into a deeply inappropriate, irrelevant, and humiliating probe. This evaluator asked highly personal, unprofessional questions that had absolutely nothing to do with the actual legal matter, and even made highly disturbing comments to us regarding therapists having affairs with clients. Paying a premium fee should buy you a zealous defense and professional, respectful treatment. Instead, we experienced an exorbitant financial loss, zero aggressive advocacy, and a deeply unsettling evaluation process. We strongly advise anyone looking for an independent defense attorney who will truly fight the system—rather than cooperate with it—to look elsewhere.

10 months agoA Defender of Constitutional Rights Against Unfair Odds While it can feel at times, and at times rightly so, that innocence has been made irrelevant in the age of plea offers, Angus is a man, an attorney, a father and a friend, one who stares down the beast of our conviction industry, otherwise known as a "Justice system," with the upmost resolve. I cannot recommend Angus Lee and his firm highly enough: particularly for anyone facing deeply challenging and institutionally unfair legal battles; words cannot satsify what this man did for me, but I'll try, anyway: My case presented fundamentally unfair odds, involving a prosecutorial approach where the pursuit of conviction was coursed to eclipse the essential search for truth and justice. The system I faced demonstrated a concerning disregard for key evidence, driven instead by ideology and entrenched biases. It was in this incredibly difficult environment that Angus Lee fought, not just for my freedom, but for the very integrity of my constitutional rights. Mr. Lee fought untiringly. He was relentlessly prepared and strategically brilliant, pushing back against the prosecution's institutional power like an army of one. His tenacity was so effective that he was even regarded by the opposing prosecutor as the most aggressive defense attorney she had ever encountered. This exhaustive effort led to the prosecution being compelled to offer five plea deals, two of which were offered discreetly and under the table. This level of resilience and expertise provided unwavering support during what was the most taxing period of my life. Witnessing his work was a masterclass in how to defend constitutional rights against an institutional apparatus seemingly hard at work to deteriorate them. Angus Lee is more than just a lawyer; he is a dedicated, principled, and formidable bulwark for justice. If you need representation that is prepared to take on the most difficult and biased circumstances with skill, dedication, and integrity, look no further. He eventually managed to pummel an impossibly skewed case down enough that the plea agreed upon between my accuser and I outweighed the risk of a trial. I have many regrets in life, selecting Angus to defend me will never be one of them. From the bottom of my heart, on behalf of my fiance, my brother, my mother, my friends and loved ones, thank you for what you did, and how far you were willing to take my fight. May God bless and keep you and yours Mr. Angus Lee. Last thing: Angus was completely ready and prepared to take my case to trial, and a big part of him wanted to. Accepting a plea offer was a somber moment shared between us... but that is the exact attitude that you need in an attorney who is fighting for your freedom. Angus is a warrior first, and a defender second; amid a trial, it is my perception, you will find no substitute for Angus Lee.

2 years agoAngus Lee has restored my hope in the judicial system. My brother was falsely charged with 4 counts of vehicular homicide by the state of Washington in 2019. Despite there being essentially no evidence linking my brother to the scene of the accident that left 2 people deceased, the state continued to pursue the charges. I’m so thankful my brother choose Angus because he was the only lawyer that predicted the narrative behind the state’s accusations, and with confidence, provided great insight of the state’s motive in the matter. Every other lawyer he interviewed said that the state didn’t have a case and that this would be an easy win. Well, 4 1/2 years later of a long battle that was settled in trial, my brother was exonerated of all charges thanks to a jury that unanimously voted NOT GUILTY. Due to the severity of the charges and the prosecutor’s adamant accusations, I’m convinced that this verdict never would have resulted without Mr. Lee’s knowledge, precision, and unwavering dedication. If you are in a legal predicament and needing an intelligent discerning lawyer who has the endurance to defend, protect, and uphold truth, then you found the right man. Angus is a man of integrity, and conducts himself in a professional manner. In addition, he is a down to earth individual who is relatable and connects with his clients, fighting relentlessly on their behalf. Watching an innocent family member fight for their freedom was a heart wrenching experience. You feel powerless and all you can do is just pray that the truth will one day prevail. Through great detail, wisdom, and authority, Angus brought that truth to light and disassembled a false narrative saving years of my brother’s life. I am eternally grateful to Angus and would highly recommend his counsel and guidance to anyone being falsely charged of a crime.

2 years agoI wish I could give Angus 100 stars. I was being wrongfully accused of felony crimes that were outrageous and untrue. When I initially met with Angus he was the only lawyer who really took my case seriously. All the other lawyers I presented it to just shrugged it off and thought it would be an easy win, and would probably never even make it to a trial. But Angus knew what the state is capable of, and where their motives lie. Angus navigated my highly complicated case with extreme precision. His background as a prosecutor really helps guide his decisions and gives excellent insight as to what these prosecutors might do. My case was one of pure injustice and Angus really took it to heart and I believed it really fueled his fire. My case took four years to make it to trial, and during that time Angus counseled me every step of the way. His efforts pre-trial secured that we would have a fair trial. His attention to detail is unmatched. He secured an abundance of motions that really forced the state into a corner they couldn't get out of. The amount of work he puts in just goes to show how much he cares about his clients and their liberties as a citizen. During the trial he really commanded a presence that everyone could feel. His clarity and sound arguments won the show. I don't think any other lawyer would have successfully navigated my case, because of the foundation of lies the state was using against me. I sincerely believe I would be in prison right now if it weren't for him. I am eternally grateful for this man. He is a true American and a voice for the people against tyranny. Beyond just his credentials and expertise, which are impeccable, he really cares about his clients. He's fun and personable, but knows when to be serious and counsel with excellent discernment.
