2 months agoMy 2 toddler children, little brother and I were in an accident caused by a drunk driver about a year and a half ago, and I found Lawrence law firm and they’ve helped change our lives with helping us get what is deserved after such a traumatic experience. They all are so caring and sweet it was a blessing to meet and work with them all.

6 months agoTara Lawrence: Unethical Conduct, Incompetence, and Dishonest Billing I rarely leave one star reviews, but in this case I feel a responsibility to warn others. If you are considering hiring Tara Lawrence, especially for a family law matter, I strongly urge you to proceed with extreme caution. Initially, Tara presented herself as competent and attentive. However, within two weeks her performance deteriorated significantly. Communication became inconsistent, promised work was not completed, deadlines were missed, and the quality of her work was careless or nonexistent. I work professionally within the legal field and am fully familiar with the ethical and billing standards attorneys in Oregon are required to follow. Based on my experience, those standards were repeatedly disregarded. In less than two months, Tara billed me over $36,000, much of it for work that was never completed, duplicated without justification, or unsupported by any meaningful progress in my case. The invoices were inflated, unclear, and in several instances charged for tasks that simply did not occur. Despite repeated requests for clarification, the billing issues were never resolved. This is not speculation or exaggeration. As a direct result of her conduct, I have filed formal complaints with the Oregon State Bar Client Assistance Office and the Oregon Professional Liability Fund. In addition, I have now filed a civil lawsuit against Tara Lawrence in Multnomah County, Case No. 25CV69042, seeking accountability for the financial and professional harm I suffered. After I posted my original review, Tara publicly responded by claiming my statements were inaccurate. That assertion is false. If her conduct had been ethical and her billing appropriate, there would be no need for bar complaints or an active lawsuit. Around the same time, her profile was suddenly flooded with vague, overly positive reviews that appeared coordinated, which further raised concerns about transparency and credibility. Friends, family members, and members of my Lake Oswego community personally witnessed the emotional and financial distress this experience caused. Family law clients are often at their most vulnerable, and an attorney’s role should be to protect their client, not exploit them. I hope this review helps others avoid the financial harm, stress, and devastation I experienced. Please choose an attorney who is ethical, experienced, communicative, and honest. Unfortunately, that was not my experience with Tara Lawrence.
