2 months agoI cannot recommend Paul Sherman highly enough. He took a family law case on extremely short notice, jumped in immediately, and was completely prepared by the time he walked into the courtroom. Despite the limited time, he thoroughly reviewed the evidence, clearly explained the legal process, and handled every aspect of the case with professionalism and confidence. If you’re looking for a family law attorney who is responsive, genuinely cares about his clients, and is willing to step in and deliver results even under tight deadlines, I highly recommend Paul Sherman. His professionalism, preparation, and commitment make him an outstanding attorney.

2 months ago***DO NOT HIRE*** Interesting how Paul responds to negative reviews with "I didn't represent this person." Paul did represent me- terribly actually, and I have sent my documents to the BAR. December 2025 through June 2026 he was impossible to get ahold of, and hardly ever returned communication. When I asked for a financial report on my Retainer, or progress on the case, he would ignore it, or give me very limited answers on the case's progress- probably because he was never actually working on it. When he did return my calls, he was incredibly rude, spoke over me repeatedly, and would even scold me on my position in the case. I asked to meet him in person, since calls weren't proving to be efficient communication, but he wouldn't arrange this- I never got to see him in person. He missed a Hearing - motion on 2/20/26, and failed to inform me that it existed. My husband later told me the Judge at the Hearing actually read aloud Paul's email, sent the night before, that we weren't going to be present for this Hearing. My husband provided me the invitation he received, and when I confronted Paul with the official document he told me it "wasn't legitimate." He was COMPLETELY absent all of May 2026, and when he finally returned my call in June, 2 weeks before our court date, he told me he was in Thailand for a month. I later found out he was actually LEGALLY SUSPENDED all of May 2026, and was not permitted to practice law. Our case was so petty it never made it to Arbitration, and was ultimately dismissed in June 2026. I asked him for an invoice at this time, and he ignored it. He later slammed me with a $8,000 bill on July 30th, claiming we wouldn't have "won" had he not done "such a good job." We didn't win anything, since it was dropped. Ever since he's sent the invoice, he has been wonderfully-responsive to my calls and emails to dispute it, so clearly he obtains communication just fine. This man runs a lazy, shady, and dishonest business practice. Paul, it's time to retire! Good riddance.

4 months agoOn March 25th, 2026, I met with Paul Sherman at his office to drop off a check for the retainer plus court fees. I called a few times over the next couple weeks to get updates but he never picked up or returned my calls until I finally reached him by phone on April 13th. He simply told me the appeal has been filed and everything is OK. On April 15, 2026, he called me and asked me to type up a memo and email it to him ASAP. I asked him if the following Monday was okay and he told me that it was. I sent him the memo on April 20, 2026 and haven't heard from him since. I have called many times over the last month and no one answered or got back to me. On May 14th, 2026, I finally get an email from Anne-Marie Clark, who stated that she is a lawyer and will be responding to Sherman's clients until June 1st, 2026 when he is back in office. At no point did Paul Sherman ever tell me about his upcoming suspension or let me know that his license was suspended. He, nor anyone that represents him has informed me of this suspension. I only discovered this after contacting the Oregon State Bar. I hired a new lawyer today, Raymond Tindell, who has told me my lawyer missed a May 14, 2026 deadline and that he needs to request a relief from the court. Look into his history. His license was just suspended for 30 days. He was reprimanded in 2019. I have not heard from Sherman in over a month and he has not responded to my requests for a refund. I'm hoping this review will help someone else avoid a very stressful situation (it was already stressful to begin with).

a year ago⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Paul Sherman is nothing short of exceptional. From the very beginning, he approached my case with a balance of tenacity and reassurance that immediately set him apart. Even in my moments of doubt, Paul carried an unwavering belief in the process and in the strength of our position. That confidence was not only comforting but absolutely essential in helping me stay strong through what I can only describe as the trial of my life. My case was anything but simple. It was complicated, deeply personal, and unique to Oregon law, involving a modern-day family unit that does not necessarily fit into a traditional mold. Many attorneys may have struggled to capture or present that reality to the court, but Paul did so with precision, clarity, and conviction while not allowing the court to be distracted with nonsense the other side wanted to bring forth. He was able to effectively convey the complexities of my family structure in a way that was both compelling and relatable, ensuring the court understood the depth and nuance of our situation. Paul’s ability to navigate a complicated custody case with such mastery cannot be overstated. He fought with determination, advocated with precision, and guided me with empathy. What stands out most is that he never treated me like just another client, he invested in understanding my story, my family, and what was truly at stake. If I could recommend anyone to handle complicated divorce issues and unique custody matters, especially those that are complex and nontraditional, it would be Paul Sherman without hesitation. His combination of skill, strategy, and human understanding is rare in the legal profession. He is the attorney you want on your side when everything is on the line. Without question, Paul will remain my trusted and only choice should I ever need legal representation again.

2 years agoI can’t say enough good things about Paul Sherman. He was my attorney for an extremely complicated custody case. He was thorough and factual which resulted in me, a father, rightfully gaining sole custody of my three daughters. I highly recommend Paul as an attorney.
